Lavosh

INGREDIENTS
 

1 cup of plain flour

1/3 cup of wholemeal flour (or more plain flour if you don't have wholemeal)

2 tbsp of black and white sesame seeds of 4 tbsps of either

1 tbsp dried oregano

1 tsp salt

1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil

1 tsp sesame oil

1/2 cup water

To finish

extra virgin olive oil

flaked sea salt

METHOD

Pre heat your oven to 180C

Place all dry ingredients in a bowl, combine separately oils and water and then mix the two bowls together. Stir until mixture comes together it should be soft and oil but not to wet as you will have to roll it out.

Divide the dough into 4 balls.

One at a time roll the balls as thin as you can while still being able to turn them over and handle them. You may need a sprinkle of flour to keep the sheet from sticking to the board.

Either cook as a complete sheet or slice into thick slices 4 cms wide and lay onto a greased baking tray.

You could cut them into squares or triangles if you wanted to.

Lightly brush extra olive oil onto the top and sprinkle with a little of the flaky sea salt.

Bake for 18 minutes or until lightly brown.

Keep as long strips or break into smaller squares.

Use for dips or cheeses - super yummy
